  12. The Sun Also Rises tells the story about fate between Brett Ashley and Jake Barnes.
    Brett always looks for physical gratification, but Jake can only give her psychic gratification,which makes Brett a "bull", and causes all the arguments. Jake is in it all the time, but he is not able to change anything, which is his fate. For Brett, she has been looking for pyhsical gratification all the time, but finally she comes back to Jake. Brett can not get her physical gratification and psychic gratification both, which is her fate.
    My title will be "The Irony Of Fate"

    The spirit of people has been hurt by World War I. The shadow of cruel war was still in their minds, especially Brett Ashley. She did not love anyone after her husband gone. Ashley just played love games in several men. The only person that totally loved Ashley was Jake Barnes.
