ReplyDeleteThe poem consists of four stanzas. In the first stanza, the speaker describes his position. He has been out walking the woods and comes to two roads, and he stands looking as far down each one as he can see. In the second stanza, the speaker took the other way , however he goes on to say that they actually were very similarly worn. In the third stanza, he want come back and also the first one sometime, but he doubted he would be able. And in final stanza, he talk with ''a sigh'' because now he knows ''somewhere ages and ages hence '' and ''that has made all the different
Fire and Ice
The poem begins with: “Some say the world will end in fire, / Some say in ice” . This conjures up dark images of the earth either burning or freezing over. But after that he talk''enough of hate ''/ is also great'' . I think he doesn't want the world will end by any thing
The Road Not Taken
ReplyDeleteTwo roads are representing two choices. People have a lot of chances to make a decision. Making great decisions can influence the direction of your life. Do not even think about another decision that you do not choose, that is just past. And also keep working on the way you choose, never give up.
Stopping by Woods on a snowy Evening
This poem is about a man who are working in a snowy evening. It shows that the best way to deal with trouble is to clam down. Making everything as simple as it can be."And miles to go before I sleep" Then the trouble will not be with you anymore.
"Fire and Ice"by Robert Frost is trying to en-capture the meaning that, which ever way things go wrong he will be able to deal with both. The tone of this poem is bitter, cynical and also a bit indifferent. The diction that is used complements the tone of the poem like "destruction, hate, fire, end, ice." The symbolism thats is shown paints a picture of destruction and chaos but can also mean a new beginning. The rhyme in this poem goes in the order of (a,b,a,b,c,d,c,d,c) Robert Frost intended to keep the readers hooked with his catchy scheme.
ReplyDeleteThe poem ''Fire and Ice'' by Robert Frost sounds like a very negative poem. There are very strong words in the poem like hate and destruction. His tone is heavy - hearted and doubtful.First he chose fire but he changed his mind. The rhyme goes as a-b-a-a-b-c-b-c-b.
ReplyDelete“The Road Not Taken” is a poem written about how people choose when they face different unknown choices in their life. The two roads in the poem symbolize the path of life and “Two roads diverged in a yellow wood” means that people can only choose one road and choose one way to go and once the choice is made, there is no way to come back and change the past. “I” chose the road less travelled by and it made my life totally different and “I” will struggle to achieve my dream and not regret about the choice “I” made. And the poem seems flows at a steady pace due to the smooth rhythm. The tone of the poem is mysterious because the road ahead us is unknown.
ReplyDelete“Fire and Ice” is a poem which illustrates the destructive of the human beings’ greedy desire and hate. Fire and ice are two different kinds of things but in the poem they both could end the world and it shows the destruction of some human emotions. From my point of view, the tone of this poem is ironic. The end of the world seems not a positive thing; nonetheless, the last two lines “Is also great and would suffice” makes people have a feeling that no one cares about the end of the world.
In my eyes the poem fire and ice by Robert Frost give a tone of depression and devistating words by the certain rhyme scheme he used which will probably catch readers with a intrest in good poetry. I think he develops a type of imagery that paint a picture chaos to describe the title fire and ice.
ReplyDeleteRobert Frost uses end rhyme in his poem, "Fire and Ice". The tone expressed through the poem is conclusive and Frost uses diction such as "great" and "suffice" to show his non-picky attitude towards how the world ends. Repetition of the words "fire" and "ice" are used to exoress the broad thoughts and ideas on the world ending.
ReplyDeleteThe poem “ The road Not Taken” using a path to compared with the life and a diverged path to representing the choice we need to face. One of the path is full with undergrowth and the the other is grassy. However both paths worn just same and the speaker choose the second one instead of taking the first for another day.Later, he found out he makes a wrong choice and sighs. At the he said he”took the one less travled by” and the tone of the poem seems to be ironic since he told something opposite.
ReplyDelete“ Fire and Ice” is a poem of contrast. As we know from the poem the the ice represented hate and the fire represented desire.By the way it shows us that the world could be destructe by human emotion since both of them are suffice. Also it told us the dangerous of extremism and I think the tone of the poem is fanciful.
Fire and Ice
ReplyDeleteThis poem is about hate but at the same time desire. It is when a person has strong feelings but they are contrasting one another. This would be a inner conflict that goes on between two emotions. As one hates something the conflict is that the also desire it. It is a struggle between which is the better choice. This poem would be sadistic.
"Fire and Ice", by Robert Frost, can be interpreted two ways. One way is that he's contemplating the destruction of the Earth. The other is, I believe, his reflection on his past life, and his reflection on the human race. When he relates desire with the destruction of fire, he is saying that hate goes hand-in-hand with desire, a normal human characteristic. This means that humans will naturally hate, and most will favor the world ending in fire. However, when he says that he knows enough of hate to choose ice over fire, he is speaking of the negative effects of hate (as if to say there were positive effects to it) and that for the world to end in ice it would be equally well. The rhyme scheme of ABA-ABC-BCB makes the delivery precise and sharp. I think the tone of this poem is accepting.
ReplyDeleteThe poem Fire and Ice written by Robert Frost is talking about the end of the world. It makes reader worry a lot about the future. Fire and ice are both two highly destructive power. In the poem, fire is the symbol of desire and the ice is the symbol of cruel. There are the images tell the reader that both desire and cruel will destroy the world. Frost uses the diction like destruction. Great and suffice. They are plain words. The tone of the poem is conversational. Because of each point of view have different arguments that they cannot agree on.
ReplyDeleteThe poem The Road Not Taken written by Robert Frost is talking about the choice people made. Sometimes it is hard to make a decision. Frost uses four paragraphs to explain. The diction he used is very common and it is easy for reader to understand. “And,oh,though”,these words made the poem more natural. I think the tone for this poem is profound.
I heard a Fly buzz-when I died
ReplyDeleteThis poem has a sad sound to it. Obviously, when Dickinson says she died, it immediately gives the context of the poem, but there are other minor details that allude to it. For example, the pauses in the lines not only create the rhyme scheme, but I also think that they are her final breaths as she is dying. She is trying to get these words out, struggling to breath, and every time there is a pause, it is as if she is taking another breath.
The repitition of the words "stillness" and "room" give background information to the location and environment, while the repitition of the word "buzz" gives a sound to think about.
