  2. In "Annabel Lee" by Edgar Allan Poe, the reason that Annabel dies is because of the seraphs from heaven were jealous. The repetition in the poem is very surrounded around Annabel Lee and her beauty as well as describing the setting. Poe is using the rhyme to get is point across that she was beautiful and got taken away. There is no alliteration or assonance. The tone changes many times in the poem it goes from loving, to depressing and determined. Like in the first stanza "And this maiden she lived with no other thought Than to love and be loved be me" loving. "Nor the demons down under the sea Can ever dissever my soul from the soul Of the beautiful Annabel Lee" is the determination that is shown.

  3. The reason is that the angles envy the love between Annabel Lee and “me”. Throughout the poem, Poe repeats some phrases such as in this kingdom by the sea and my Annabel Lee to strengthen the love between Annabel and “me”. In the poem, Poe repeats the sound of “e”. For example, in the first stanza, line 2 ends with sea, line 4 ends with Lee, and line 6 ends with me. Stanza 2 repeats sea, Lee and me. Stanza5 ends with we, sea and Lee. There are some examples of alliteration in the poem, for example, “That the wind came out of the cloud by night, Chilling and killing my Annabel Lee” the alliterating words are came, cloud and killing. Repetition and sound also related in this poem. For example, “We loved with a love that was more than love" Poe repeats the sounds “w” and “l”. At first, the tone of the poem is sweet; nevertheless, the tone become sorrowful later. Ultimately, the tone is that their love is forevermore till the sun dries up the sea.

Chilling: provoking fear terror; frightening because of an awareness of danger "a scary movie"; "the most terrible and shuddery...tales of murder and revenge"

  4. In Edgar Allen Poe’s poem “Annabel lee”, Annabel has to die because a angle who is not happy in Heaven envy me and Annabel. This poem is more like a love story, me and Annabel love each other so much in a kingdom by the sea. Otherwise, in the poem, “in this kingdom by the sea” appears again and again. The rhyme of the poem is like a-b-a-b-a-b, but not always the same. In each stanza, the rhyme is same one after another. For example:
And this was the reason that, long ago”,
In this kingdom by the sea,---“sea”
A wind blew out of a cloud, chilling
    My beautiful Annabel Lee;---“lee”
So that her highborn kinsman came
And bore her away from me,---“me”
To shut her up in a sepulchre
In this kingdom by the sea.---“sea”
The tone is kind of happy at first, and changes to serious at last, because at first me and Annabel have a happy life in the kingdom by the sea and then Annabel died. “But we loved with a love that was more than love” shows their happy.“For the moon never beams without bringing me dreams” shows my sad and serious.

  5. The poem “ Annabel Lee” written by Edgar Allen Poe shows the love between narrator and Annabel Lee is so strong and perfect cause the seraphs, the highist order of angles in Heaven envy it.Therefore, Annabel Lee has to die and the rhyme is a-b-a-b-c-b and there are 6 stanza in the poem. Throughout the poem, Poe repeats the soud of long “e”. For example, in the first stanza, Line 2 ends with sea, Line 4 with Lee, and Line 6 with me. Stanzas 2 and 3 repeat the sea, Lee, me pattern.By the way Poe use alliteration to create pleasing sound pattern.Following are the examples in the poem.
But our love it was stronger by far than the love
Of those who were older than we--
Of many far wiser than we--

The alliteration words: was, who, were, we, wiser, we
Also I think the tone changes from happy to end with heartbroken.

    Sepulchre:
    1. a burial vault, tomb, or grave
    2. (Fine Arts & Visual Arts / Architecture) Also called Easter sepulchre a separate alcove in some medieval churches in which the Eucharistic elements were kept from Good Friday until the Easter ceremonies

It seems like this poem has a connection with the authour and he describes the main charecter as if she is the most beautiful girl in the world. the poem leaves a tone of love and then swithches into a darker image of description at the end. He aslo loses alliteration to keep a pattern in the story.

  7. seraphs n.an angel of the first order; usually portrayed as the winged head of a child
The poem written by edgar allan poe shows that Annabel lee has to die because “And this maiden she lived with no other thought Than to love and be loved by me.” However her kinsmen bore her away from “me”. She lost her love and her only thought in her life. That’s why she has to die. The rhyme goes like a-b-a-b-a-b in all six stanzas. The repetition of the poem is “of the beautiful Annabel lee.” The whole poem describes the ocean which is the symbol of the forever love. The author uses many symbols in the poem makes the poem has a romantic atmosphere. The tone he use when he describe the Annabel lee is melting. When he describe how he lost Annabel lee, the tone is angry.

  8. Annabel Lee has to die because, the wind that coveted her strong/powerful love had to also end that love by chilling Annabel to death. The repetition in the poem helps the reader to understand the meaning behind the words of the poem. Poe plays with sound to create a song with the words, which keeps the constant story-telling flow. EX. Alliteration:"my darling- my darling- my life". EX.Assonance:

    - all the night-tide, I lie down by the side.
    - Of those who were older than we-
Of many far wiser than we-. Repetition and sound both correspond with one another in the poem and are what make up the actual poem. At the beginning poem, the tone is reminiscent and honoring. However , towards the end of the poem it becomes more defensive and sullen.
