  1. - The chilling wind was a sign from heaven that it was her time to go even though their love was stronger than ever. The repetition of the poem is about the strong love that were given through him and Annabel Lee. The narrator was talking as if their love could last forever no matter what happened between them. "I was a child and she was a child, in this kingdom by the sea, BUT we loved with a love that was more than love-I and my Annabel Lee". In this quote he goes from talking about their physical characteristics that today people would probably disgree with because they were children and young, to making it clear that their love was stronger then anything and can conquer anything. There are examples of Alliteration because he and Assonance when all the narator does is talks about the strength of their love.

    - SEPULCHRE = A tumb or burial place (grave).

  2. The reason that Annabel Lee has to die is the winged seraphs of Heaven coveted her and the narrator, the incredible and indiscerptible love in between, “The angels, not half so happy in Heaven, went envying her and me”. For my understanding, the repetition in this poem is more likely to emphasize the emotion of the narrator to Annabel Lee, like the repetition of “In this kingdom by the sea” is a way that the narrator emphasizes that he has been watch for his lover, the Annabel Lee for so long; “I was a child and she was a child” “But we loved with a love that was more than love-” emphasizes the long-lasting and unbreakable love between them. The repetition of Annabel Lee’s name is the way of expressing the great love deep within the narrator’s heart and soul to “my darling-my life and my bride”. The rhyme is the same for every other line on “sea, Lee, me, we”. The first two lines “It was…” “In a …” and the fifth & sixth lines “And this…” “Than to…” are examples for alliteration. “Chilling and killing…” is the example for assonance. The repetition and sound of the line gives this poem an obvious sense of melody, which makes it very expressive to the readers. I can feel the tone changes from reminiscent to anguish to commit.

  3. She died from the wind came out of the cloud by night and I think it means that she was on the boat and killed by the storm. It keeps mentioning about kingdom, heaven, sea and her name, Annabel Lee. Also, it talks about how beautiful she is and shows the love towards Annabel. The poem sounded very miserable and gloomy and sad. For the alliteration, in the middle of 3rd stanza, it says So that HER HIGHBORN kinsmen came and first line of 4th stanza you also can see the alliteration, The angels, not HALF so HAPPY in Heaven. For the assonance, in last sentence of the 4th stanza, it says CHILLING and KILLING my Annabel Lee. I can't really find the changes of tone in this poem. It started with the reminiscent tone and calm and I think the tone doesn't really change. The word that I don't know is KINSMEN which means --> a blood relative, esp. a male.
/ a relative by marriage. / a person of the same nationality or ethnic group.

  4. Edgar Allan Poe

Annabel Lee dyed when angels and demons tryed to take her away from the strong love she had. But not even could they do that because their love was forever abd was stronger than anything. Poe rhymes

And neither the angels in heaven above,
Nor the demons down under the sea,
Can ever dissever my soul from the soul
    Of the beautiful Annabel Lee.'

He commonly says her name which specifies more his loves towards her and rhymes some endings. Every stanza has her name so we emphazise more in her. He builds assonances by making a similiar sound with each vowels' ending.
"It was many and many a year ago, in a kingdom by the sea, That a maiden there lived whom you may know, by the name of Annabel lee"

Every stanza starts different "It, I, And, The, But, For".

The tone changes as he beggins writting about her life and ends with the passion and dreams he has with his love, Annabel Lee.

  5. The poet Edgar Allan Poe wrote this mournful love story to recall and remember his dead wife. Because of their deep and earnest love, Annabel’s highborn kinsmen came and took her away to a sepulcher. Then she died by the chilling and severe cold wind. The poet’s tone voice is plaintive and indignant. In the first 3 stanzas, every second sentence is begin with “ in this kingdom by the sea.” The poet emphasizes this sentence because there was the place his loved wife once lived and they loved there. In the last two stanza, the word “ love” and “ above”, the word “ side” and “ bride” are assonance.

  6. the reason why they have to killed her is becuause the angel jealous about the author and annabel lee. the repetition is about their love. even the angel took Annabel lee away from him, their love still strong, the distance cant destroy their love.the rhyme is like sea, chilling, lee me ... the alliteration is like so that her.. and to shut her.. the example to prove their deep love is " but our love it was stronger by the far than the love.... nor the demons down under the sea caneer dissever my soul from the soul of the beautifel annabel lee

  7. The reason why annabel Lee has to die is that the love between her and me makes the angles jealous. Poe used "in a kingdom by the see" to make of the repetition. In my opinion, the sound is that Poe used Angles to kill Annabel Lee. This murder shows the transcendental love between us. And also, Poe took the ocean as the atmosphere to beautify the whole poem. These repetition and sound together make this poem more romantic.Tones change like these:gently, happy, sad, wistful, and at last, confident, and detached. As for the first paragraph, the words "it", and "in", "that", and "than" are following the alliteration.

sepulcher: a place for a dead body, either cut in rock or built of stone.

  8. In the poem Annabel Lee author is talking about she never thinks badly, she always thinkig about her love. The reason of she has to die is because of their love everyone coveted them. The repetitionin this poem is "In This Kingdom by The Sea". Examples of alliteration is "So that her highborn kinsmen came" and assonance is "I was child and she was a child." Repetition and sound releated in same idea. Tone of the first two stanza of poem is neutral and fond but after secod stanza the tone is sorrowness.

  10. In the poem, Annabel Lee by Edgar Allen Poe, the reason Annabel had to die is an Angel from heaven coveted about her beauty and their love. The repetition of "of the beautiful Annabel Lee" expresses the narrator's sadness, pride and yearning of the beauty of Annabel and also shows his strong love to her. Poe uses a lot rhythm through the poem, in the first paragraph the words "ago, know and thought" and "sea, Lee and me" are on rhyme, and they are all ends of the lines. For alliteration, poet uses a lot conjunction to make the story coherent which also make us easier to read with poet's logic.
The repetition played an important role in Annabel Lee, that make the tone clear and strong. In the beginning of the poem, the tone is joyous, but after the angel coveted at them, the tone changed to sad but with proud. In the end of the poem, the tone is depressed, sad, serious. He knows her death and sighing about her

  11. This poem, "Annabel Lee" is about the narrator's love to his lover, Annabel Lee. The reason of the death of Annabel Lee, is her love with the narrator let the seraphs be coveted. The repetition in the whole poem is Annabel Lee, to emphasize the love to her, for this poem is about the narrator's love to Annabel Lee. In this poem, even though Annabel is already dead, but the narrator thinks his soul is still being together with Annabel's, this is the love of "more than love". The poem is kind of like a free verse poem, for it has no overall rhyme. There's also no real alliterations in the poem, for the poem keep starting with different sounds. The repetition such as "kingdom by the sea" and "Annabel Lee" play some role in the poem, for they keep appear in the same place in one stanza.
The tone changed from telling, to enthusiastic, and to loving, to confident, and to sarcastic, then to forceful, angry, to calm. For the first paragraph, the narrator was telling the story between him and Annabel Lee, then he was confident, for "we loved with a love that was more than love", the sarcastic is for "neither the angels in Heaven above nor the demons down under the sea can ever dissever my soul of the beautiful Annabel Lee", the narrator is laughing at the angels' actions, for their useless act towards him and Annabel Lee.

  12. Anneabel lee has to die, because the angel's were jelous of them. The repatition is for enfasis, of the couples love. Poe rimes the lines, and he repeats in order for him to change the sound of the poem , along with the tone. alliteration, from the poem is "not half so happy in heaven" and assonance from the poem is, "Nor the demons down under the sea" because he's playing with sound. Yes sound and repition are related because they move the poem foward, and change the tone of the poem consistently.
